What’s next for Akhil?

We saw him in Balaji Sakthivel’s ‘Kalloori’. Then he made his presence felt in ‘Vaalmiki’. And after a break, young actor Akhil will be seen playing the protagonist in a movie titled ‘Nagarpuram’.

According to sources, the movie will be directed by Parthasarathy, a debutant. “It is a thriller to be told in a natural way. The movie is set in southern Tamil Nadu. Shooting will start soon,” sources say.

They add: “Music composer Arul Dev, who is in the limelight for his songs in ‘Patta Patti 50 50’, will score music for ‘Nagarpuram’. Parthasarathy is working on other members of the cast and crew of the movie.”

Saying a new face will play the heroine, sources claim plans are on to complete the shoot as soon as possible and release the movie by the end of this year. “Nagarpuram will set a new genre in Tamil cinema.”
